Clinique Even Better foundation '03 ivory'
Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder '001 transparent'
Rimmel Hide the Blemish stick concealer '002 sand'
Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer and Highlighter '030 Classic Beige'

Earlier today I had a lovely shopping day with my mother and despite the fact there isn't a huge amount to show for it, I did manage to spend a fair bit of money on makeup essentials. I needed a new foundation so when in Debenhams (always, without a doubt, our first stop on every shopping trip) I had a little wander over to the Clinique counter for a cheeky look. You see, with it being the winter months, I am at my very palest so every foundation that I own is too dark making me look a little ridiculous with my white chest and orange sunkissed face. When the Clinique lady asked if I wanted her to put one of the foundations on me, I couldn't resist. She matched me up with my correct colour with the Even Better foundation (03 ivory) and it looked really quite nice so I bought it. It was pretty expensive at £23, but it does seem like it was worth it. And even better, it's for dry combination to oily skin types which suits me fine. This is my first high-end foundation so I have high hopes for it.

I then trudged along to thee old faithful Boots and bought concealer and powder to match my now normal skin colour. I decided on the shade '001 Transparent' for the powder because then it wouldn't change the colour of my skin. I also got the Rimmel Hide the Blemish stick concealer in the shade '002 Sand'. I am really upset that I had to leave my trusty Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer but shade 2 was too dark for me and shade 1 was too light. And then finally, I picked up the Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer and Highlighter in the shade '030 Classic Beige' because I don't want to use a stick concealer under my eyes. Besides, Rimmel had a 3 for 2 offer going on which everyone knows is hard to say no to...
