You may or may not know that I am a massive Benefit fan. I absolutely adore their cute kitsch packaging and whilst the prices can be steep, you get what you pay for a lot of the time. When I saw they had a great little sale on their website a couple of weeks after Christmas, I couldn't resist. I am actually surprised there was so much left over from this year's annual winter sale considering it had already been on for a while. I managed to reign myself in (just) so that I didn't spend too much money. I bought two things and one of them wasn't in the sale which makes me feel slightly guilty (I mean, who even pays full price for anything nowadays) but I couldn't help myself. I got the You Rebel Lite, a tinted moisturiser, and Brow Zings, and I am sure you can work out what that is without me giving a full explanation. The saving wasn't even that great for You Rebel Lite, £24.50 down to £17.15. I must have bought the one thing in the sale that wasn't a fantastic deal.

Now that I have had them for a couple of weeks, I have had plenty of time to make my mind up about them. And I have to say, I am impressed. The tinted moisturiser does exactly what it says on the tin - lovely, soft skin with light coverage. Keep in mind this is a tinted moisturiser so there is next to no coverage on things like pigmentation and spots but it does help to even out redness for those days when you can't really be bothered with a full face of makeup. It looks nice and fresh with just some concealer, if you don't like to go for a heavy foundation look but still like a little bit of coverage. I do think it is quite expensive for what it is, and while I do really like it, I probably wouldn't pay £24.50 for just a tinted moisturiser if I am honest.

I am surprised by how much I love Brow Zings. I was scared I was going to end up looking like I had two slugs sitting above my eyes but the look that this gives is so lovely and natural! I got the light shade, which I never actually meant to get. I must have clicked on light by accident because I was expecting it to be medium but when it came, I went back and checked my order and I did in fact get a different shade to what I thought. Not to worry though, it appears my subconscious is smarter than I am because it is the most perfect colour ever for my eyebrows. It matches my hair colour to a tee so it looks really natural. I use the wax to begin with to shape my brows and fill the majority in and then go over it lightly with the powder which helps to both fill in any more gaps and set the wax in place. It lasts the WHOLE day, from the minute I put it on at 8 o'clock before school till I take it off around 10pm. How amazing is that? Even the little brushes are surprisingly good. The brushes you get in kits like this are often flimsy and rubbish but these actually do the job quite well. No need to carry around brushes with you! I will, without a doubt, be repurchasing this when I run out. Best eyebrow product I have ever used. I'll be doing a before and after post for this so keep yer eyes peeled.

There is still a good few things left in the sale if anybody is interested. If you are, I would head over there quickly before the rest of the good stuff is gone!

Getting Fit (sort of)

I have decided this is it. This is the year that I will finally become a fit and healthy human being. If you recall my New Year's Resolution post, I mentioned that I wanted to be fitter for going to Nepal at the end of June. I am going on a three-week expedition with some people from school - basically a gap year crammed in to three short weeks. I am super excited to go, it has been a long time coming. We have now spent over a year in preparation and fundraising but I am sure it will be worth it. For more info, check out my blog post on it here from back in 2012.

In order to reduce my struggles on the week long trek in the Annapurna mountains, I decided it was probably a good idea to get some training in. Even the thought of climbing the Himalayas makes me exhausted. As mentioned in my New Year's Resolution post, I hoped to join the gym. Well, I am pleased to announce that I have accomplished this! Okay, so it is my best friend's family membership that I use but it's a start! We currently only go once a week but I am hoping that is going to increase soon because my friend wants a 'bikini body'. We went twice last week - how impressive is that! I really need to buy myself a good pair of trainers because the ones I wear just now are a tad on the small side. On a side note, if you are looking for a good sports bra that it is inexpensive, try Primark. They have excellent ones for just £4 that do the job nicely!

If you are also looking for trainers at the moment, I recommend Sports Direct. They have so many pairs to choose from and at really good prices too. I am undecided between these two at the moment.

Both are really good prices, especially for Nike. Sports Direct have a good sale on just now on their trainers, if you are interested! Let me know which you prefer. I am currently swaying slightly to the left.

As well as going to the gym, I also want to start going for walks. What better way to prepare for a trek than by walking! The above picture was actually taken the other morning when I was out on one. I may also branch out in to running, but don't hold your breath. I go swimming on a Monday night too which is a great form of exercise as it works your whole body rather than one particular area and is also a good fat burner. My problem is I have no motivation to exercise whatsoever. Once I start, I am fine and I even enjoy it but it is the thought that puts me off. Is anybody else like this?

I also want to try some Blogilates. It look like such good fun! Cassey is simply just a bundle of energy - I don't know how she does it! Again, it's my lack of motivation that has stopped me from doing this yet. Does anybody have any good tips to motivate yourself to exercise? They would be massively appreciated!!

So there wasn't any real point in this post, it felt more like a little catch up. I think I might do more of these kind of chatty posts in the future rather than sticking to boring old reviews. What do ya think - yay or nay?

Tanya Burr Lips and Nails

Lip glosses: Picnic in the Park and Aurora
Nail polishes: Bright and Early and Mini Marshmallows
Buy them here

Even the title of this post excites me so much. You have no idea how happy I was when I found out my beloved Tanya Burr (youtuber/blogger/makeup artist) was bringing out a make-up line and I have been waiting not-so-patiently for them to be released. It will therefore come as no surprise to you that I had my order in within days of them arriving on To my utter dismay, there was apparently a delay in getting the nail polish that I ordered in so I had to then wait a further week and a half for them to be dispatched. However, they arrived a couple of days ago and I full-on squealed when I saw the package. The delivery man gave me an awfully strange look.

THEY ARE SO BLOOMIN' GORGEOUS. I don't want to over-excite you all by doing full reviews and swatches in this post (coming very very soon, promise) but I couldn't resist showing off these little beauties. I am very impressed indeed. I ordered two lipglosses in 'Picnic in the Park' and 'Aurora', as well as the nail polishes 'Bright and Early and 'Mini Marshmallows'. Both the lip glosses and nail polishes have amazing, long lasting formulas to die for. I am typing this with 'Bright and Early' on my nails right now! I had done my nails within half an hour of the parcel arriving. For such an amazing price (£5.99 for nail polish, £6.99 for lip glosses), they are well worth the money. They feel so much more expensive! The simple packaging is perfect - no need to be over the top when it comes to a product that is brilliant all on its own. What really impressed me was how close the colour was to the image on the website. Usually you find that when things arrive, the colour is completely different to what you were expecting but this was amazingly accurate, especially the nail polishes. I will be ordering more as soon as I get paid!

I urge you to buy some of Tanya's products if you haven't already. You won't regret it!
